NCA Leadership
Emily Bonner is the NCA Principal. Emily came to PNG in 2006 to teach English at NCA. Before coming to PNG, Emily earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Education at Mississippi College and taught for two years at Canton Academy in Canton, Mississippi.
At NCA, she has taught English for grades 7-12, taught PE for both elementary and high school, and coached basketball, softball, and rugby. In 2024, Emily joined NCA’s administrative team as the high school vice principal, and she stepped into the principal’s role to begin the 2025-2026 school year.

Dana Bowers is the NCA Elementary Vice Principal. He accepted Christ in 1982 and began to pray, “Lord, I will go anywhere and do anything – I just want to be used by You.”
The Bowers came to PNG in 1993 and served as dorm parents for six years. Since 2005, Dana has taught 6th grade, overseen NCA’s Boarding Program, and has served as part of NCA’s Administrative Team. Married for over 30 years, they have three grown children who graduated from NCA. He earned a bachelor’s degree in human development and teaching credential from Azusa Pacific University in California.

Robyn Green is the NCA Offsite Administrator. She started teaching math and science at NCA in 2011 and has served in administration since 2015. Before coming to PNG, she was a district-level curriculum and instruction director in Texas. She taught junior high and high school science prior to that and is a certified 4-12 Science, 4-8 Mathematics, and EC-12 Special Education teacher. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Texas Tech University.

Beth Devine first came to Papua New Guinea in 1995 as a short-term missionary to cook for NTM PNG’s Interface program after finishing an associates degree from the Culinary Institute of America. She served as a short-term missionary twice for a total of 3 years before she decided she would love to serve God full time as a missionary. Beth went back to the USA for missionary training and returned as the chef at Interface in 2003. She served there for a total of 12 years and during this time, met her husband, Jacob. After they were married in 2009, they served at Interface together until they moved to Wewak, Papua New Guinea, to work on the outstation where Beth had a ministry in the business office and raised two babies. In 2019, Beth & Jacob moved to Lapilo to run the Guesthouse and enrolled their son in first grade at Numonohi Christian Academy. They continue to run the Guesthouse, and now both of their children attend NCA.

Andrea Wilson was born and raised in the Washington, D.C. area and received her bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Maryland, College Park. She moved to Papua New Guinea in 2005 where she met her husband, Paul, who was also working with Ethnos360. The Wilsons have two children who are currently enrolled in grades 6 and 8. Andrea joined NCA faculty in 2021 where she teaches life science and biology. Throughout the many years, Andrea and Paul have enjoyed being a part of the Lapilo community.

Heather Saunders is an NCA elementary teacher. She received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Taylor University in Indiana. She taught in elementary classrooms in both Colorado and Idaho for several years before moving to Papua New Guinea in 2011 for the first time to teach at Numonohi Christian Academy.
