General Information:

Pictures: School picture day was earlier this term. If you would like an electronic copy of your student’s picture, please bring a labeled jump drive to Miss Heppner in the high school office.

Staff needs for the 2017 – 2018 school year:  We have several staff positions that will need to be filled next year.  Thank you for praying with us about these needs and sharing the information with people you know who might be interested in teaching at NCA. Elementary:

Elementary Assembly:  The next elementary assembly will be October 5 at 7:45 am in the Conference Dining Hall.  The elementary students will be sharing with us at this assembly.

Jr. & Sr. High: 

Electronics Reminder: Please remember that students are not use personal entertainment devices or cell phones at school. Students who do not live at Lapilo are welcome to use cell phones during lunch or after school. Parents we appreciate your help in this as we seek to provide a safe and focused place for your student to learn.

 SAT:   The SAT will be held on November 5th at the HQ conference room from 8:00 a.m. until about 1:00 p.m. The deadline to register for this exam is Friday, October 7th.There will be another SAT exam in May here at NCA. If you have further questions, please call the high school office.

PSAT:   All juniors will take the PSAT on Wednesday, November 2nd in the HQ conference room starting at 7:45 am. Please contact the high school office if you have any questions.

 

Spiritual Emphasis Weekend (SEW):

9th-12th Grade Spiritual Emphasis Weekend – We are excited that a team from Hume Lake will be coming to do SEW with our students this year. Students will leave after school on Thursday, November 10th and stay at Orobiga through the morning of Sunday, November 13th. Students and parents will receive information after the term starts about what to bring, what not to bring, and other details. In the meantime, please direct any questions to Mr. Bowers at .

7th and 8th Grade Spiritual Emphasis Weekend – We are excited that the team from Hume Lake will also be doing SEW for our seventh and eighth grade students. Students will have SEW on the afternoon of Tuesday, November 15th and all day on Wednesday, November 16th. Students and parents will receive information after the term starts about what to bring, transportation, and other details. In the meantime, please direct any questions to Mr. Bowers at .

There will be lots of ways to help with SEW this year. Joanie Bowers will be organizing meals for the team while they are staying at Lapilo Center. Your family may consider having them over for a meal or providing snacks for them. We also will need adults to help with gathering of materials, security, transportation, and meals during SEW. We hope you’ll be able to be a part of making this a memorable time for our students.
