About NCA

Numonohi Christian Academy (NCA) is located in the heart of the Eastern Highlands Province in the island country of Papua New Guinea, the Land of the Unexpected.

Established in 1966, NCA exists as a part of the ministry of New Tribes Mission (NTM). The purpose of NCA is to glorify God and to assist in the establishing of indigenous tribal churches throughout PNG by supporting parents in providing a Christ-centered education for their children. The school offers grades K-12 and in addition to our standard academic curriculum includes a variety of electives when staffing allows. Boys’ and girls’ basketball, volleyball, soccer, and touch rugby teams have the opportunity to play competitive games with local school teams as well as friendly games with parents and teachers on center.

NCA is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and typically enrolls about 150 students representing ten different countries. NCA’s student body is comprised primarily of children from NTM PNG, but also have children from a number of other mission organizations including Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF), Evangelical Brotherhood Church (EBC), Association of Baptists for World Evangelism (ABWE), Christian Services International (CFI) and Christian Radio Missionary Fellowship (CRMF).
